“This week I walked into a tea store after a full weekend of lying in bed with the blinds closed, a massive headache, stuffed up nose, and a scratchy throat. I asked the young man at the counter to bring me some herbal teas that would make my throat feel better because I felt like death. He brought me two teas and asked which I liked best. I leaned over and smelled both of them, to which I replied ‘To be honest, I can’t smell the difference. My nose it out of service right now, you choose, I trust you’.
He picked out a tea called ‘Cold 911′.
Appropriate.
As he made my tea I asked him if he could put some honey in it. After pouring my tea and mixing it together he hands it to me and says ‘This one’s on the house. Feel Better!’ I stood there shocked, stunned by his generosity; this simple act froze me to the spot. It was all I could do to not cry because of this young man’s simple act of kindness that completely made my week!”
